Mission Statement

“There can be no victory without integrity” is the guiding philosophy of the Texas Storm DeMarini Organization. We believe that our greatest contribution is in teaching young people the values of competition: to make a commitment, to work hard, to strive for excellence, to sacrifice to make the team better, and to be the best you can be as a person and as an athlete. We believe that our job is to develop the total person, and not just the athlete. Our players learn to respect the game of fastpitch softball and all who are involved in it.

Softball is fun because of the relationships that are formed on the field, the team unity, and the ability to accomplish a common goal together as a team. While a member of Texas Storm DeMarini, our players will learn about commitment, success, trust, respect, pride, tradition, attitude, motivation, responsibility, discipline, mental toughness and integrity.

The Texas Storm DeMarini pledges to its players and parents:

  • Provide a healthy, productive and structured environment for its players to learn and compete in the game of fastpitch softball;
  • Promote team chemistry and teach the importance of achieving success through teamwork;
  • Provide a unique, positive atmosphere for accomplished athletes to develop their skills while building confidence, self-esteem and mental toughness;
  • Stress the importance of academic excellence as it relates to competitive sports and to a successful future;
  • Develop highly competitive softball teams with players that exemplify the meaning of selflessness and teamwork

The Texas Storm DeMarini is a nationally recognized fastpitch softball organization that competes in some of the most prestigious tournaments in the country, and our teams are comprised of some of the most talented players in the Houston area. We are affiliated with Houston Metro ASA and are are registered through the Bellaire Girls Softball Association, which is centrally located in Houston, Texas. Our 16u, 18u and 18 Gold teams are managed by experienced professionals and former college players, and our players benefit from a staff with a combined 50+ years experience in tournament fastpitch softball. All of our coaches have daughters who are playing or have played softball at the collegiate level, and none currently have daughters on the team. Our coaching staff offers state-of-the-art instruction in all aspects of the game, and private hitting instruction with video and digital software currently in use by some of the largest college programs in the country. We stress the importance of all fundamental skills that are essential to success at the collegiate levels

The Texas Storm DeMarini also has one of the best reputations in assisting players in the recruiting process. We have graduated over 40 high school seniors into NCAA Division 1 softball programs, and have a working relationship with over 100 college coaches over the entire country. These relationships allow our players the opportunity to be recruited by notable college programs from all over the U.S. and not be limited to just Texas schools. We work closely with our players and their parents to develop a player profile and video skills package that can be distributed to college coaches and aid in the recruiting process. We maintain a comprehensive website that enables a coach to view a player’s skills video online, thereby making their recruiting information readily available to the entire coaching community. Our players receive the highest level of exposure by participating in some of the most prestigious recruiting tournaments in the country, those which are not available to many travel teams. We market our players to the coaching community through weekly e-mails and telephone contacts to over 100 college coaches, an effort that few other teams can match. We have signed players to such colleges as Texas A&M, University of Texas, Oregon State, Missouri, LSU, Texas State, University of Houston, Rutgers, Ball State, University of Florida, Ball State, Stephen F. Austin, UL- Lafayette, University of Arkansas, Texas Tech, Boston University, University of Memphis, UNC-Greensboro, Wagner College, Midwestern State, TSU, Navarro, Galveston College, and Blinn JC, just to name a few.
